I am available to promote and organise school ‘philosothons’. These are semi-competetive activities which involve participants in communities of philosophical enquiry. They involve thinking about and articulating important ideas in a collaborative setting. There are some similarities with debating but the ethos is more inclusive and less confrontational. Philosothons are popular in Australia where they developed out of the philosophy for children and communities movement there. The philosothon model was developed in Hale school in Western Australia by Matthew Wills.
